GRYHMEZ is an outlet for the news that doesn't quite make the news. It's called the truth and everyone has the right to the reality. Whether it's hip-hop, pop, politics, or just straight banter. But above all, knowledge is power and ignorance is bliss; and ignorance is not welcomed to GRHYMEZ dot com
"SHUT UP AND LET ME GO"
UK's own The Ting Tings isn't Rap or RnB...but GRHYMEZ felt that due to the fact that HIP HOP is forever evolving, that this international POP sound can/and maybe one day will be incorporated into our world of HIP HOP. e.g. Ne-yo, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Kanye, etc.
The video is HELLA KOOL, it goes, HOT FIYAH - whatever it iz that you nuggaz say it deez dayz! CHECK IT OUT and keep an open mind!
First off, let me start off by saying that I am a huge Lil Wayne fan and I strongly feel that he has the potential to be one of the premier MC's of our time. However, in his latest effort "Tha Carter III," Dwayne Carter has come up short. With all the hype surrounding the latest installment in Tha Carter series, this album is not the knock out we've all been waiting for to put Mr. Carter up there with the best.
Throughout the LP, there are certain tracks that scream genius and then there are others that simply contradict the term "quality." If you go back to the transition from Tha Carter I to the Tha Carter II, which are two very good albums, you can sense the growth and the maturity in Weezy's music. Then we flash forward to his most recent project, where there are hints of what could be and then your reminded of what is; unrealized potential. Lil Wayne has made a pretty big name for himself killing remixes and destroying mixtapes. Yet, in the attempt to make a great album Wayne has his moments like these "My picture should be in the dictionary next to the definition of definition because repetition is the father of learning..." An excellent rhyme; however, his overdose of the word like on the album might have you oppose to his theory on repetition to be flat out annoying.
We all know Weezy is a star but this one falls a couple stars short of a classic...
Jazmine is a refreshing addition to R&B. She straight up kills. Her voice is like a gospel, neo-soul, jazzy R&B mixture. She reminds me a little of Lauryn Hill, but her voice is grittier. Her singing is so honest and real, which is what good neo-soul is about. Shout-out to Algebra, PJ Morton, Eric Roberson, Anthony David and everyone else representin. Her first single produced by Missy is “Need U Bad” that has a reggae feel to it. Don’t get it twisted though Jazmine is not nu to the game. She’s been singing since she was 5. She was discovered after a performance on Apollo where she sang “Accept What God Allows”. She was signed briefly with J Records, but dropped soon thereafter. Since being dropped from J Records she’s sang background for Fantasia and written songs like “Say I” for Christina Milian.
SAY I (LIVE)
Jazmine is definitely a true talent and I’m lovin it. I’m so tired of ringtone wonders and chicks that get album deals because they’re marketable as opposed to talented. I can’t wait to hear more from her, but for now check out some clips of the chick Jazmine in action.
Unfortunately, new-comer TYGA's debut album should have been entitled "Allow Me to Introduce Myself" due to the lack of everlasting presence and the forgettable beats and hooks throughout. Everyone might know him as Travis' (from Gym Class Heroes) little cousin, but that's it.
Lyrically the quick up and down fluctuation in tone flow isn't doing the mediocre beats justice. If a track is weak, at least the flow should go hard -- but that's the problem.
The single/video "Coconut Juice" featuring Travis (cousin) is a fresh club banger. Definitely a good move by the label to drop this as a single!
But besides that, I'm finding it hard to categorize Tyga into one genre of music (pop or rap), which is the approach many new artists are attempting to do which can either hurt and/or help their career.
Ashanti’s new album 'The Declaration' is certainly not a declaration of her singing abilities. The album is a mixture of alright tracks that will go in one ear and then go out the other as soon as it enters. The first single released “The Way That I Love You” is the best track vocally on this album. You have to kind of give her credit because she is doing the promotion of this album all by herself, but maybe she should have stayed in the studio a little longer.
With limited moves on the dance floor and limited vocal range, staying in her lane would be the best move for Ashanti's singing career. We love the soft, sweet, soprano so if it aint broke don't fix it! Get in where you fit in (while the competition like Ciara and Beyonce' are still in the studio).
Overall this album will disappoint people who are looking for a continuation of the strength that was felt in her first single. Even loyal Ashanti fans might be disappointed by this album.

"CHILLIN TONIGHT" is one of those bangerz that went under the radar!
THIS TRACK GOES HARD...NUFF SAID!

"GRHYMEZShortee of Da Month Sanaa Lathan is well-deserving of this honor. Physically she can stand out in a crowd, from red-carpet events to the basketball courts. Her humble attitude, and low-key profile on the streets, leaves Sanaa out of unnecessary tabloid drama, giving true dedication and realism to her craft. Not afraid to take on roles dealing with "kept hush" issues such as interracial relationships in the movie 'Something New', this actress will definitely bless the world with her presence for years to come, in front and behind the camera; especially in front!"

BATTLE OF THE DIVA?
Ciara V. Beyonce
According to MEDIATAKEOUT.com - the two R&B divas will be releasing the next studio album on the same date!?
Remember when Kanye and 50 did the clash of the titans last year? This is a SMH moment...GRHYMEZ will remain neutral throughout this battle if true at all.
