"SHUT UP AND LET ME GO"

UK's own The Ting Tings isn't Rap or RnB...but GRHYMEZ felt that due to the fact that HIP HOP is forever evolving, that this international POP sound can/and maybe one day will be incorporated into our world of HIP HOP.  e.g. Ne-yo, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Kanye, etc.

THA CARTER III: "DON'T CALL IT A CLASSIC"

GRHYMEZ RATED NEXT: GET IN WHERE U FIT IN

First off, let me start off by saying that I am a huge Lil Wayne fan and I strongly feel that he has the potential to be one of the premier MC's of our time. However, in his latest effort "Tha Carter III," Dwayne Carter has come up short. With all the hype surrounding the latest installment in Tha Carter series, this album is not the knock out we've all been waiting for to put Mr. Carter up there with the best.

Throughout the LP, there are certain tracks that scream genius and then there are others that simply contradict the term "quality." If you go back to the transition from Tha Carter I to the Tha Carter II, which are two very good albums, you can sense the growth and the maturity in Weezy's music. Then we flash forward to his most recent project, where there are hints of what could be and then your reminded of what is; unrealized potential. Lil Wayne has made a pretty big name for himself killing remixes and destroying mixtapes. Yet, in the attempt to make a great album Wayne has his moments like these "My picture should be in the dictionary next to the definition of definition because repetition is the father of learning..." An excellent rhyme; however, his overdose of the word like on the album might have you oppose to his theory on repetition to be flat out annoying.

We all know Weezy is a star but this one falls a couple stars short of a classic...
